Xiamen Xigong fully lined ceramic ball valve adopts high-performance structural ceramics (mainly including high-purity alumina ceramics and toughened oxide fault ceramics) as the valve core and lining material, so in the strong acid, strong alkali, slag, powder, particles, slurry and other extreme corrosion and wear erosion conditions, whether as a shut-off valve or a control valve, Xiamen Xigong fully lined ceramic ball valve has excellent and stable performance and longer service life than the traditional metal hard seal ball valve.

 

The fully lined ceramic ball valve adopts a three-stage flange connection valve body, the pressure level range head PN10-PN63 (ANSL Class 150-600), and the valve diameter range is DN15-DN300 (ANSI1/2"-12"). Under normal circumstances, DN15-DN100 (1/2"-4") ceramic ball valve adopts floating ball structure, DN125-DN300 (5"-12") ceramic ball valve adopts fixed ball structure. The ball material is zirconia ceramic, and the valve seat and valve body lining material are >99% alumina ceramic. Other special materials, structural lengths and flange connection dimensions can be customized according to customer requirements.

The three-section flange connection structure of the fully lined ceramic ball valve can ensure that the installation size of the valve is very flexible, and the flange size and the structural length of the valve can be customized according to customer needs, so that the valve can be directly connected with the user's pipeline without making any changes to the pipeline, thereby saving the user's installation cost.

 

Inside the valve body, all valve trims (including valve ball, valve seat, middle sleeve, flange lining, valve stem, etc.) are reasonably designed and assembled to ensure that the valve housing is not in direct contact with the medium, so as to effectively avoid the valve housing being corroded, washed or worn by the medium. The sealing surface of the ceramic valve ball and the ceramic valve seat adopts advanced technology and processing equipment, and is precision ground to ensure that the leakage level of all valves reaches Class VI. At the same time, the high hardness and extremely low surface roughness of the structural ceramics make the friction coefficient of the sealing surface small, and reduce the opening and closing torque of the valve to the greatest extent.

 

The connection bracket between the valve and the actuator complies with IS0 5211 standard. All quarter-turn electric and pneumatic actuators can be connected to the valve via a bracket. The bracket of the valve can be replaced, and different types of connection brackets can be selected according to the connection size of the user's actuator. Because the torque of the ceramic ball valve is less than that of the soft seal ball valve and the hard seal ball valve of the same specification, please contact Xiamen Xigong to select the appropriate actuator model when selecting the actuator. Excessive output torque of the actuator may damage the ceramic valve ball.

 

 

Corrosion resistance

High-purity alumina ceramics (>99%A1203) and zirconia ceramics (Zr02) that have been formed by cold isostatic pressing and sintered at high temperatures will not react chemically with most organic solvents and inorganic chemical media (except concentrated sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid), so they will not cause pollution to the media. The excellent stability of structural ceramic materials ensures that the physical and chemical properties of ceramic ball valve internals will hardly change after long-term use in various strong acid, strong alkali, strong corrosive slurry and other media.

 

In media containing hydrofluoric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, oxidized ceramics dissolve, and in high-temperature steam, zirconia ceramics become less stable. Please contact Westbell for professional advice.

 

Abrasion resistance

The hardness of high-purity alumina structural ceramics (>99%A1203) exceeds HRA88, and the hardness of zirconia structural ceramics (about HRA85) far exceeds the hardness of stainless steel and cemented carbide. The high hardness and strength of the structural ceramic spool components give the fully lined ceramic ball valve excellent wear and washout resistance in pneumatic powder conveying and slurries containing high hardness solid particles.

Ceramic hard seal

The problem between the ceramic valve ball and the ceramic valve seat is a precision ground spherical seal, the surface roughness of the sealing surface is Ra0.1~0.4, coupled with the high hardness and self-lubricating characteristics of the structural ceramics, while ensuring that the leakage level of the valve can reach zero leakage (grade VI), the opening and closing torque of the valve is much smaller than that of the metal sealed ball valve and soft seal ball valve of the same specification, which avoids the damage to the valve ball due to excessive opening and closing torque.

 

The ceramic valve ball is completely attached to the valve seat without gap, which can prevent impurities such as solid particles in the medium from being caught on the sealing surface and causing the valve to jam or lock.

 

Type 0 and Type IV balls

Westbell offers two different shapes for fully lined ceramic ball valves: O-balls and V-balls.

In general, the Type O ball is mainly used for shut-off valves; The V-shaped valve ball has the characteristics of equal percentage flow regulation, which is suitable for occasions with high requirements for the accuracy and stability of flow regulation, and the V-shaped valve ball can cut off the particles, fibers and other impurities in the medium, and has the function of white cleaning on the sealing surface. In cases where flow regulation is not a high requirement, the Type 0 ball can also be used as a flow control valve.
